Redeemer’s worship service (is) a “contemporary expression of sound-substantive hymns and praise songs.“
Members of Redeemer Presbyterian PCA in Evans, Georgia will have a new place to worship Sunday as the church opens the doors to its first permanent home.
“This is our very first building,” said senior pastor Charlie Stakley. “We are a church plant that started in a home in the spring of 2000. We moved to a school for a year-and-a-half, and after that we’ve spent the past seven years in a storefront.”
The church’s new 23,000-square-foot facility is at 2540 William Few Parkway in Evans. Among the features of the new building are a walk-out basement designed with a nursery, classrooms, kitchen, fellowship hall and youth room.
The main level boasts a sanctuary that can seat up to 400 people, a large foyer complete with fireplace, administrative offices and a welcome room and missions area.
“We built this facility to incorporate growth, which we hope to one day have,” said Stakley, adding that the membership of the church is about 165. “We have about 60 children, but we’re still pretty small. We think the size of our new building is perfect for growth.”
