PCA minister Randy Young, 55, was severely burned in an accident on February 13. He was burned on over 40% of his body.
Young is the director of the Living Waters Counseling Center in Medford, Ore., a ministry affiliated with Trinity Orthodox Presbyterian Church.
According to newspapers reports, Young was burned when he used gasoline to light a fire in his barbecue and it got out of control. He was flown to the OregonBurn Center at Legacy Emmanuel Hospital & Health in Portland, Ore.

The most recent posting stated, “They are going to do permanent skin graft on his right and left legs, and his chest [on February 23]. He does still have pneumonia, but they do seem to be confident that he will recover from that okay. They do seem to have some concerns about his kidneys but again they seem fairly confident that they will be OK. In a few days, they will likely do a tracheotomy if his breathing is not any better and the swelling on his neck goes down. It does have risks, some of which are: scaring of the wind pipe, more pneumonia, and bleeding. It will stay in until all of the operations are done. They also plan to do another skin graft on his hands on Friday or Monday. The surgery tomorrow, Feb. 23, will probably start around 1 p.m. and finish around 5 p.m. (PST). So please keep Randy in your prayers. Thank You!!”
